For cleaner environment

We are searching actively new methods in order to reduce disfigurement of the environment. Maustaja is the member of The Environmental Register of Packaging PYR Ltd., which coordinates the business of the producer’s associations and maintains the producer’s register in Finland.

Several concrete results have been obtained by developing pro-environmental methods. For example, recycling of bottle packing boxes reduces significantly disfigurement of the environment. Also several metal and plastic casks can be used for material recovery.

Energy consumption, product loss and releases are being followed in relation to manufacturing quantity. The aim of the maintenance program and control of heating appliances is to optimize the use of energy. By improving wash system we have achieved savings in water consumption and have also been able to reduce the amount of wastewater.

With the help of technology program based on Minimising prosessing -principle it has been possible to achieve qualitative advantages and to reduce both the energy consumption and the loss in the production. At the moment we are searching possibilities to increase the recycling and material recovery of process waters.
